42-Year-Old Man Arrested In Belfast Search Operations
A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector John Caldwell on 22 February in Omagh.
The arrest was made during a planned search operation of two properties in the Greater Belfast area earlier today, Friday 14 April.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A controlled drug, possession of a Class A controlled drug with intent to supply, and possession of criminal property. He remains in custody at this time.
The PSNI continue to appeal for information on the attempted murder of DCI Caldwell and have encouraged people to go to the dedicated appeal page.

Fourteen Sentenced In East Belfast UVF Investigation
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of thirteen men and one woman in connection with an investigation into suspected criminality linked to the East Belfast UVF by the Paramilitary Crime Task Force. The defendants were sentenced over the five-week period, from 11 January to 16 February, at Belfast Crown Court.
