As the summer break approaches so does the annual dilemma of how to keep the family and yourself active and entertained, and not just glued to our phones.

Here are some of the best ways to take advantage of Northern Ireland's great outdoors.
Colin Glenn Forest Park, Belfast
Northern Ireland's leading adventure park is filled with attractions for all the family. A fantastic 200-acre Forest Park at the river entrance just 5 minutes away from Belfast city centre.
There is SKYTrek high-ropes, archery, and laser tag available and if this isn't enough to get the heart racing, there is the Black Bull Run – a fast-paced trip through the forest on Ireland's first and only alpine coaster. Still not enough? Colin Glen also has Ireland's longest zipline at 250 metres.
Maybe travelling through the air isn't your scene, then the Colin Glen River Rapid may take your fancy. If you are looking for something a little slower paced why, didn't you know, there is a whole walking trail made for the Gruffalo.

Streamvale Open Farm, Dundonald
A great opportunity for the kids to learn more about animals and how they are cared for by the farm. Streamvale is a family-run dairy farm that allows you to get close to some of their furry friends while feeding newborn lambs and goats as well as watching how cows are milked and how it is made into the ice cream that's available on the farm.
There are outdoor and indoor play areas as well as pedal go-karts, there's lots to keep everyone entertained while the parents can enjoy a coffee from the Creamery Café.

Lagan Adventures- Hydrobikes, Belfast
A chance to explore Belfast's River Lagan like never before these hydrobikes provide a fun, adventurous, and safe activity.
The hydrobikes are the only experience that the Lagan offers and a different way of sightseeing around Belfast as it is a unique way to view Harland and Wolf cranes, the Obel Tower, historic bridges, canal structures, and lots more.

Eazy Tours, Belfast
