Six Arrests Made In Connection With North Belfast Attack
Six people have been arrested by detectives investigating a stabbing in the Antrim Close area of north Belfast on the night of Monday 26th June.
Just after 11:40pm on the night, police were called by the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) who were attending the scene of an incident where a man, aged in his 20s, sustained multiple wounds.
Officers attended and spoke with the man, who alleged that he had been attacked by several men. He was stabbed five times and hit about the head with a hammer. He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.
Following searches in the area, five men, aged 20, 24, 25, 26 and 37, and a woman aged 35, were arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and drugs offences.
They remain in custody at this time.
The PSNI are continuing to investigate the incident and have issued an appeal for information and witnesses to 101 quoting reference number 2326 of 26/06/23.

Four men have been arrested in connection with the murder of journalist Lyra McKee. Ms McKee was fatally shot as she observed rioting in L'Derry in April 2019. She was 29 years old. Police investigating her death have arrested four men, aged 19, 20, 21 and 33, under the Terrorism Act.

Six Arrested In Dissident Investigation
Six people have been arrested by detectives investigating dissident republican activity. The arrests were made on Tuesday in the Dunmurry and west Belfast area following a number of searches. Police said five men, aged between 31 and 58, and a 32-year-old woman had been arrested.

Four people have been arrested in connection with a road collision in Ballycastle earlier this year. Johnny Black 19, and Robin Wilson, 24, were killed in the crash which happened on the Cushendall Road on Monday 6 April. Two men, aged 20 and 50, and two women, aged 20 and 48, have been arrested.
