Family Asks For Prayers As Son Secures Bone Marrow Donor
The family of an eight-year-old boy suffering from Leukaemia has asked for prayers as he prepares for a bone marrow transplant.
Bobby Browne, from Bessbrook Co Armagh, was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukaemia in May last year.
Bobby will have to undergo eight days of radiation therapy before he can have the bone marrow transplant.
Describing the family's ordeal in a post on social media, Bobby's mother, Louise Browne said: "We have been told that they have a donor for Bobby and he is being admitted to hospital tomorrow to start the process. He has to have aggressive chemo and radiation therapy for 8 days before he has the transplant.
"As Bobby needs a match urgently they have told us that they have had to pick a donor which isn't a full match. This will mean a lot of side effects alongside those from the chemo and radiation therapy. We are asking that you all pray for Bobby that he will have minimal side effects and the strength to come through this. He has a hard journey ahead of him and he needs your prayers."
Celebrating the news of a donor match, SDLP MLA Justin McNulty said: "Absolutely fantastic news for Bobby Browne and his family. Best wishes and prayers for Bobby and all the Brownes for a big big week."

Rise In Hate Crimes Across NI
The number of incidents recorded rose across five of the six "hate motivations" – racist, homophobic, sectarian, disability, and faith/religion – when compared with the previous 12 months, according to the latest figures from the PSNI. Incidents and crimes with a racist motivation showed the largest overall increase – 353 incidents and 276 crimes.

Three Border PSNI Stations To Be Put Up For Sale
The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) confirmed to PA news agency that the sale of three border police stations is to go ahead. After Brexit uncertainty halted plans the PSNI believe that now the time is right to put the stations back up for sale. The police stations are in Castlederg and Aughnacloy in Tyrone and Warrenpoint in Down.
