Western Trust To Take Up GP Contract For Brookeborough And Tempo Practice
Western Trust is to take up the GP contract for Brookeborough and Tempo practice to ensure local people can continue to access a GP.
Sinn Féin MLA Áine Murphy welcomed the announcement and confirmed the contract will be taken over from 01 September.
The Fermanagh and South Tyrone MLA said:
She said: "The Department of Health must now redouble their efforts to secure a permanent GP contractor for this practice and will continue to work with the Department to ensure that happens.
"Our entire health service and health workers are under huge pressure. They need a health minister and an Executive in place and taking decisions to tackle the problems facing health and social care."

Sinn Féin has called for more to be done to improve mental health services across the north of Ireland. The party's mental health spokesperson, MLA Órlaithí Flynn, made the call after the release of the Registrar General's 2023 Annual Report which has highlighted an increase in deaths by suicide in 2023.
