PSNI Travel Advice As NI Face Slovenia At Windsor Park

The PSNI have issued a warning to road users to anticipate traffic disruption and potential delays in the south Belfast tonight, Tuesday 17 October, due to the Northern Ireland v Slovenia football match.

This UEFA Qualifying fixture will take place at the National Stadium, Windsor Park, with kick off at 7.45pm.

Supporters are advised to leave sufficient travel time for their journey as traffic congestion is likely in the area due to the expected volume of people attending the fixture. A build-up of traffic will be expected in the M1, Boucher Road and Donegall Road areas both before and after the game. Supporters are also asked that if driving to the match, they park with consideration for local residents and businesses in the area.

The PSNI said: "Please be respectful and considerate whilst walking through residential streets convenient to the stadium. The areas around Windsor Park are 'No Street Drinking' zones under Belfast City Council by-laws and we would ask those by-laws are complied with. We hope that the match is enjoyed by all and would remind those attending to please adopt a common sense approach."
