Ministers Send Best Wishes To King Charles After Cancer Diagnosis

The Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister have sent their best wishes to King Charles, following the news of his cancer diagnosis.

It is understood that a form of cancer was discovered as the King underwent treatment for an enlarged prostate. The type of cancer has not been announced, but Buckingham Palace has confirmed that it is not prostate cancer.

The Palace also announced that the King has postponed all public duties and is already undergoing treatment.

First Minister, Michelle O'Neill said: "I am very sorry to hear of King Charles' illness and I want to wish him well for his treatment and a speedy recovery."

Deputy First Minister, Emma Little-Pengelly said: "I would like to wish His Majesty, King Charles all the the very best for his treatment. I, like many people throughout Northern Ireland, will keep him and his family in my prayers."

DAERA Minister Confirms Commitment to Deposit Return Scheme
