Drugs, Firearm And Luxury Goods Seized In Bangor
The PSNI have deployed an armoured tactical vehicle, known as a BearCat, during a proactive search operation in Bangor.
Officers from Bangor District Support Team, assisted by officers from specialist Operations Branch providing specialist access, conducted a search at a property in the Killaire Road area of the town on Wednesday, 13th March.
A significant quantity of Class A drugs were recovered, including a quantity of luxury watches, diamonds, paintings, a sum of cash and a Range Rover Sport vehicle. Officers also seized a suspected firearm from the property.
A 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including being in possession of a firearm in suspicious circumstances, being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and possession of criminal property.
Following the operation, Inspector Hart said: "We are actively committed to removing dangerous drugs from our streets, and will proactively investigate and carry out searches to disrupt this activity, and those involved in the drugs trade. Today's planned operation shows we are devoted to carrying out these searches and using all personnel and equipment available during proactive policing operations."

Man arrested over Belfast cannabis find
Following a planned search operation in south Belfast yesterday, officers seized around 14 cannabis plants and a quantity of paraphernalia associated with drugs. One man was arrested following the raid at the property in the Stranmillis Wharf area of the city, however was later released pending a report.

Funeral for dinghy tragedy teenager
A Coleraine teenager, who drowned off the coast of Castlerock, is to be buried today. Robert McMullan, 15, died when the dinghy he was in with a friend got into difficulties and capsized on Tuesday. He was airlifted to hospital, but died later. His friend managed to swim to shore and raised the alarm.
