The 2025 Complete University Guide national league tables have been released and Queen's University Belfast has climbed two places to be within the top 25 of universities across the UK.

The University's success is further bolstered by there now being 28 subjects ranked in the top 20 in the UK, up from 23 last year, with Queen's top in the UK for Agriculture and Forestry, and second for Social Work and for Pharmacology and Pharmacy.

The University is also now ranked 13th in the UK for research intensity and in the top 10 for graduate prospects.

Every year the Complete University Guide releases UK university and subject league tables to support prospective students in making informed decisions about their future. Regional league tables are also on offer to help people find the right university for them in their area, Queen's once again comes out top in Northern Ireland.

Welcoming the announcement, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement at Queen's, Professor Margaret Topping, said: "We are delighted to learn we have climbed two places to reach the top 25 of universities in the UK, and that now 28 of our subjects are in the top 20 in the UK, as reflected in the Complete University Guide rankings. National rankings can and do influence prospective students' choices so we are incredibly proud of this achievement.

"As we look ahead to the next academic year, we are confident that joining the top 25 will further boost Queen's as an attractive place to study and Belfast as a great place to live. At its core, it reflects the collaboration and dedication of our staff and our students who make Queen's the incredible institution that it is."
