Man found dead in south Belfast

A man has been found dead in a south Belfast park on Monday.

The discovery was made by council workers who spotted the body in bushes at Lower Crescent off University Road shortly before 11am.

Police immediately covered the body in a plastic sheet and cordoned off the area as forensic scientists moved in to examine the scene.

Police are unsure how the man died and have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.

A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Conor McKee. Mr McKee was found dead at his home in Glenpark Street in north Belfast on Thursday, 07 January. He had been shot a number of times. The suspect is being questioned at a police station in Belfast.

Murder Probe Underway In Fermanagh
A suspicious death early this morning is now being treated as a murder inquiry and a probe has begun in County Fermanagh. It started soon after a 36-year-old man was found dead near the village of Tempo. Police were called to a house in the Edenmore area at about 4.20am on Tuesday.

Police treat body find as ‘suspicious’
Police are treating the discovery of a man’s body in Co Down on Thursday as “suspicious”. The body was discovered in a yard at the back of an office in Church Square, Banbridge, at about 8.30am. Police and emergency services were called to the scene but the man, who is believed to be in his 20s, was pronounced dead.

Appeal Over Park Body Find
A post mortem will be carried out today on the body of a man found dead in a stream in east Belfast. Police have also appealed for anyone with information to contact them. The shock discovery sparked a large police investigation after a member of the public made the grim find in a local park at around 8.30am yesterday.
