Appeal Following Report Of Dangerous Driving Incident
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a car being driven dangerously in the vicinity of the A1 between Newry and Belfast at approximately 9.40am on Thursday 1st August.
Officers from the Auto Crime team attended and apprehended the vehicle on the A1 close to Lisburn and subsequently arrested a man in his 40s on suspicion of a number of offences including dangerous driving.
He remains in police custody at this time.
Anyone who may have witnessed the blue coloured Ford Focus driving erratically along the A1 from Newry this morning or anyone with dash-cam or other footage that could assist with enquiries is asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference 347 of 01/08/24.

Man Arrested After Class B Drugs Found In Van
A man has been arrested after he failed to stop for police in east Belfast and was in possession of Class B drugs with intent to supply. A van, which was travelling on the Castlereagh Road on Sunday night, failed to stop for police and was discovered a short time later crashed and abandoned on the Gransha Road.

Woman Arrested Following Crash In Co Down
A 50-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a crash in Co Down. A woman, in her 80s, was taken to hospital following the collision on the Scarva Road in Banbridge at around 11.30am on Saturday, 11 November. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

18-Year-Old Arrested After Fatal Crash In L'Derry
A man has been arrested after two people died following a collision outside L'Derry. The two male victims, aged 19 and 21, where from the Donemana area near Strabane. The 18-year-old driver of the car has been released from hospital.

Man Charged Over Fatal Crash In Strabane
A man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a collision in Strabane, County Tyrone. A man in his 40s died in the two vehicle crash which happened on the Melmount Road on Saturday at around 10pm. The man, 49, is currently being detained and questioned by police.
