Appeal Following Aggravated Burglary In Downpatrick
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of an aggravated burglary in Downpatrick.
At around 11.30pm on Wednesday night, two masked men forced their way into a house on Rathkeltair Road. The occupant of the house was held at knifepoint for over an hour while being threatened, before being forced to hand over a large sum of cash.
The two men then made off on foot in the direction of Downpatrick town centre. Investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone with information regarding this crime. They can be contacted by calling 101, quoting reference 74 19/09/24. Appeal For Information After Buses Damaged In Downpatrick
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a report of criminal damage on a number of buses at the Ardglass Road area of Downpatrick. Sometime between 8.30pm on Thursday 28th July and 9am on Monday 1st August, it was reported that six buses parked in the area were damaged.

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a serious arson attack in the Clon Dara area of L'Derry on Saturday, 23 November. Shortly before 8.20pm, police received a report that an accelerant had been used to ignite the front door and letterbox of a house in the area.

64-Year-Old Downpatrick Man Jailed For Sexual Assault Of Children
A 64-year-old Downpatrick man has been sentenced to eight years for six counts of sexual assault against children. At Downpatrick Crown Court on Monday, 27 November, the man, named Damien Craig, was sentenced to four years in custody and four years on licence.
