Police Arrest Two Men After Ballymena Assault
Two men have been arrested in County Antrim on suspicion of assault.
Police said they received a report at 6.15am yesterday that a man, aged in his 20s, had been attacked at a residential property in the Orkney Drive area of Ballymena.
The man sustained injuries to his face, abdomen and leg, which at this stage are not thought to be serious. Detective Inspector Lenaghan said: "A 62-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including false imprisonment, non-fatal strangulation, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
"A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including false imprisonment, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, possession of Class B controlled drugs and possession of fireworks.
"Both men remain in custody at this time. Our enquiries are ongoing, and we would appeal to anyone who may have information which could help our investigation to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 174 of 29/10/24."

Detectives investigating the rape of a 16-year-old girl in County Tyrone have arrested a man. The teenager had travelled by bus to attend a nightclub in Strabane on the evening of June 16. The attack is believed to have happened some time between getting off the bus and before she reached the nightclub.

Six men have been arrested in connection with a serious sexual assault in south Belfast. The attack is believed to have happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 19 September. An investigation has launched and the suspects are helping the PSNI with their enquiries.

Co Fermanagh man suffers broken nose in robbery
A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Police Officer Attacked During Arrest In Co Tyrone
The PSNI have condemned attacks on emergency personnel after a police officer was attacked and injured while making an arrest in Co Tyrone. An officer sustained facial injuries when he was attacked as he and a colleague arrested a man suspected of assault in an incident at Corick Road, Clogher, shortly before 01:00am on Thursday.
