Appeal Following Serious Road Traffic Collision In Magherafelt
Police in Magherafelt are appealing for information and witnesses following a serious road traffic collision on Sunday evening, 10th November.
The collision occurred at approximately 8.55pm at the junction of the Oaklee Road, Ballyronan, involving a black VW Golf and a blue VW Tiguan.
The driver of the VW Golf, a woman aged in her 30s, sustained serious injuries and remains in a critical condition in hospital. Inspector Long said: "Other occupants of the vehicle included a young child who was also injured and remains in a stable condition. A man, aged in his 20s, who was a passenger, was uninjured.
"Meanwhile, the driver of the VW Tiguan, a woman aged in her 40s, and two children sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
"The road was closed for a time to facilitate emergency services. However, it has since fully reopened to traffic.
"Our investigation is underway and anyone with information about what happened, or who has dash-cam, mobile or other footage can contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1598 10/11/24."

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

The Dungannon Road is currently closed in both directions following a single vehicle collision which happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning, 08 November.
