Portuguese youth attacked in racial assault
The upsurge in racial attacks in Northern Ireland continued yesterday after a Portuguese youth was attacked in Co Londonderry.
The 19-year-old was assaulted and subjected to racial abuse after being stopped by a man on Spencer Road, Londonderry, at around 2.30pm.
The attacker also threatened to kill the youth before spitting in his face.
Police have described the man as being 5' 10" tall, in his mid 20s, with cropped black hair and unshaven. He was wearing a thigh length khaki jacket, red shirt and red boots.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Man Extradited From Ireland To Face Serious Charges
A 33-year-old man has been extradited from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland to face serious charges. The man is accused of assault causing harm, coercive control, contravention of a safety order, theft, and possession of a weapon. The alleged offences occurred in the Monaghan area between 2020 and 2021.
