Police appeal following lorry theft

Police are appealing for information after a 40-foot Target Express lorry was stolen from an industrial estate in Co Londonderry at the weekend.

The lorry was taken from the Campsie Industrial Estate in Londonderry sometime before 12:30pm on Sunday.

The brown lorry, which belonged to a transport delivery firm, was three-quarters full of stock.

The Scania lorry, which has Target Express written on the side and a rear curtain trailer, bore the registration number UIL 6081.

It is believed to have been the only Target Express vehicle on the roads in Northern Ireland on Sunday.

Anyone who has spotted the lorry or has any information about its theft is urged to contact detectives at Waterside on 028 7136 7337.

Lorry Overturns In Co Tyrone
A lorry has crashed and overturned in Co Tyrone. It is understood the cement lorry crashed into a graveyard at St Mark's church. Police have said the Crossowen Road, between Augher and Clogher, is closed in both directions. The driver of the vehicle has been taken to hospital for treatment. It is understood his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police have renewed an appeal for information on a fatal road traffic collision on the Glenshane Pass. A 30-year-old man died when the car he was driving was involved in a collision with a tanker lorry near the Ponderosa bar between Dungiven and Maghera at 05:20 on Monday 09 August.

Couple Die In Omagh Crash
A couple, aged in their 70s, have died in a crash in Omagh. The collision, between a car and a lorry, happened on the Doogary Road just before 3pm on Monday, 03 September. The man and woman died at the scene of the crash. The lorry driver was not injured.
