Appeal Following Serious Collision In Ballygawley

Police are appealing for information following a serious two-vehicle road traffic collision in Ballygawley on Thursday evening (1st May) that left a motorcyclist with potentially life-changing injuries.

The collision, involving a silver KIA car and a motorcycle, occurred on the Aghnagar Road at approximately 8:25 pm.

Sergeant Laverty stated: "The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries that are described as potentially life changing."

A 23-year-old man, believed to be the driver of the car, was arrested at the scene. "He was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily injury by dangerous driving, driving whilst unfit, driving while disqualified and using a motor vehicle without insurance. He remains in police custody at this time," Sergeant Laverty confirmed.

The Aghnagar Road was closed for a period following the incident to allow for investigation but has since reopened.

Police enquiries are ongoing, and officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, has any information, or possesses relevant dash-cam footage to come forward.

Victim Of Fatal Road Collision In Co Antrim Named
The victim of a fatal road crash in Crumlin, Co Antrim, has been named as Emmanuel Caddell, police have confirmed. Mr Caddell, 22, died following the two-vehicle collision involving a car and a lorry on Monday, 10 April. The incident happened on the Manse Road at around 10.50am. The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision in Newcastle, Co Down. The Ballagh Road has been closed and motorists are being advised to avoid the area. Man Killed In Co Antrim Road Collision Named
A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Dies In Three Car Collision In Dundrum
Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Dundrum, Co Down. A 49-year-old man died at the scene of a three-car collision on the Belfast Road at about 12:20am on Thursday. It is understood that four other people are being treated in hospital following the collision.
