Police Seize Drugs Worth Over £17,000 In Millisle Raid

Police from the Bangor District Support Team have seized Class A, B, and C drugs with an estimated street value exceeding £17,000 during a search operation in Millisle, County Down.

The discovery was made at a property in the Moss Road area on Saturday, 3rd May. Alongside the illegal substances, officers also seized mobile phones and a number of other items.

A 34-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of several drugs-related offences. They have since been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.

Chief Inspector Hutchinson commented on the seizure: "The seizure demonstrates our commitment to keeping local communities safe from this type of criminality and removing these illegal substances from our streets. As a result of Saturday's search, a large quantity of suspected dangerous controlled drugs is now safely off our streets."

He added: "Our officers will continue to protect communities from the harmful effects of illegal drugs, which have no place in our community."

Police are appealing to anyone with information about the illicit supply, possession, or misuse of drugs to come forward. Information can be provided by calling the non-emergency number 101 or by submitting a report online via the PSNI website – www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

Two arrested following police raids
Two men have been arrested following police searches in north Belfast. Two handguns, ammunition, drugs worth an estimated street value of £27,000, documents and around £17,000 in cash, were seized during the raids, which are believed to be linked to organised crime in the city.
