Galgorm Announces £3m Investment In Luxury Enhancements
Galgorm, Northern Ireland's premier luxury hotel and spa resort, has unveiled a £3 million investment plan to further enhance its guest experience.
This significant development includes a major guestroom refurbishment program and the creation of a nature-immersive Forest Spa Garden, reinforcing the resort's commitment to Northern Ireland's growing tourism sector. A £2m investment has been allocated to renovate Galgorm's six junior suites, which now feature private hot tubs on balconies overlooking the River Maine, and to refurbish 45 superior rooms, due for completion by July 2025. These upgrades aim to blend modern luxury with Galgorm's signature aesthetic. An additional £1m is being invested in the new Forest Spa Garden, set to open in autumn 2025. Located across the River Maine from the existing Thermal Spa Village, this tranquil retreat will offer four luxurious relax cabanas, three private hot tubs, a sauna, and serene forest walkways, seamlessly connected by a bespoke bridge.
Colin Johnston, Managing Director, Galgorm Collection, highlighted that these investments allow the resort to "push boundaries in creating exceptional guest experiences," offering new ways to relax and reconnect with nature. The Forest Spa Garden will be accessible to all overnight and day spa guests, specifically catering to those staying in Galgorm's recently opened, eco-friendly Forest Dens, which provide a unique blend of nature and comfort.
This latest investment is part of Galgorm's broader £40m expansion strategy extending to 2027, aiming to further grow and futureproof Northern Ireland's tourism and hospitality industry. The Galgorm Collection has already invested over £60 million since 2010 and recently acquired Galgorm Castle Estate and Roe Valley Resort for a combined £28m, with plans for an additional £22m investment in these properties over the next five years.
