Multiple Arrests Made Following South Armagh Burglaries

Multiple men have been arrested following a series of burglaries and thefts in south Armagh, police have announced.

A 21 year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of burglary from a dwelling and theft of a vehicle, has been released on conditional bail to allow for further police enquiries. At the time of the arrest the man was aged 20.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, 13 July, a 19 year-old man was charged with burglary from a dwelling, theft of a vehicle and handling stolen goods. He was further charged with obstructing police and with two counts of interference with vehicles.

Furthermore, a 20-year-old man and an 18-year old man, arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a vehicle, were released on conditional bail, also to allow for further police enquiries.

Four Men Arrested In Connection With Lyra McKee Murder
Four men have been arrested in connection with the murder of journalist Lyra McKee. Ms McKee was fatally shot as she observed rioting in L'Derry in April 2019. She was 29 years old. Police investigating her death have arrested four men, aged 19, 20, 21 and 33, under the Terrorism Act.

Yet another post office has been targeted by robbers. Yesterday, Killyman PO, near Dungannon was the latest to be hit. Although no one was hurt, a trend of such rural hold-ups is emerging after other such post offices - including a mobile - have been targeted over the last week.

Two Burglaries In Craigavon And Belfast May Be Linked
Detectives investigating burglaries in Craigavon and Belfast are exploring the possibility they may be connected. Police are appealing for information after two burglaries occurred on Tuesday evening, 14th January. The first incident was reported at approximately 6.20pm in the Gracefield Lodge area of Craigavon.

Two Arrests Made In Connection With Death Of Elderly Man In Dromore
A 54-year-old man has been arrested in suspicion of murder in connection with the death of an elderly man on 30 June in County Tyrone. The 84-year-old man was found dead at an address in Blackwater Road, Dromore. Police investigating the death made two arrests on Tuesday.
