Car discovered at bottom of lake
A car has been recovered by emergency services from the bottom of a lake in Co Down on Wednesday.
Following a tip-off to police, the submerged vehicle was discovered at Ballylough lake on the outskirts of Castlewellan at around 7.30pm yesterday.
Members of the police underwater search team were called to the scene after the Fire Service were unable to extract the car from the lake.
The car is believed to have been in the water for a number of days however no other details are available at present.

Toddler Knocked Down In Co Down
A toddler is being treated in hospital after being struck by a car in Banbridge, Co Down. Police are appealing for information after the driver left the scene at Corbet Lake at around 4.20pm on Saturday. The toddler, whose injuries are not believed to be life threatening, was hit by a blue Volkswagen type car.

Colin Horner Murder: Man Arrested
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Colin Horner. Mr Horner, 35, was fatally shot in front of his young son in a supermarket car park on Sunday, 28 May. The man was arrested in the Newtownards area on Friday, 16 June. He has been taken to Musgrave Police station for questioning.

Armed Robber Dresses As Police Officer
Police are searching for two men in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a shop in Co Armagh. Police said that one of the men who attempted to rob the shop on West Street, Portadown, was dressed as a policeman. It is understood two men entered the shop at about 10am on Thursday, one of them was carrying a suspected firearm.
