Viable Device Found After Dromore Security Alert
A security alert that caused disruption in the Church Street area of Dromore on Thursday, 24 July, has concluded with police confirming the discovery and removal of a viable suspicious object.
The alert began at approximately 09:30 when police received a report of a suspicious object at a property in the area. A public safety operation was immediately commenced, leading to the establishment of cordons. Ammunition Technical Officers attended the scene to examine the object. Detective Inspector Keon stated: "The object, which has been described as viable, has been removed for further forensic examinations. A number of cordons in the area, which were in place, have been lifted."
Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and to determine a motive. Detectives are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has CCTV or other footage that could assist the investigation, to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 331 24/07/25. Reports can also be submitted online via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

Suspicious Object Found In L'Derry
A suspicious object found in L'Derry has sparked a security alert. The object was discovered in the Drumleck Drive area just after 8am on Wednesday, 02 May. A number of people have been evacuated from their homes and police officers have sealed off the area. The residents are being accommodated in the Shantallow Community Centre.

Latest Newry Bomb Alert Ends
A security alert in Newry, the second in the city in two days, has ended. Police were investigating a suspicious object in the grounds of St Mary's Church, but said "nothing untoward" was found. Several homes had been evacuated due to a bomb alert in Newry - the second in 24 hours.

Suspicious Object Found In Co Antrim Declared A Hoax
A suspicious object found in Co Antrim has been declared a hoax. The Mill Road in Newtownabbey has been reopened. Elsewhere, a suspicious object discovered on the Lisburn Road in south Belfast was also declared a hoax. The road reopened at around 4.20am on Wednesday, 13 July. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Security Alert Underway In Belfast
A security alert is currently underway in Belfast. It is understood there have been reports of a suspicious object found in the Tates Avenue area of the city. As a result, the road has been closed between Boucher Road roundabout and Lorne Street. Police and army bomb experts are in attendance at the scene. No other details have been released.
