Man Arrested In Relation To Crimes In Poland
A man wanted in Poland to serve a sentence for a number of vehicle thefts linked to an organised crime gang has been arrested in the Carrickfergus area of County Antrim over night (7 August).
The 44 year-old, who is also wanted on a separate drugs matter, was detained by officers from the PSNI's local policing team in Ballymena on a Polish extradition warrant for the offences which occurred in the Krakow area of Poland in 2004. The man will appear before Laganside Extradition Court today (8 August).
Constable Dynes from the International Policing Unit said: "We continue to work with our international partners to identify and arrest those wanted in other jurisdictions. If fugitives travel to Northern Ireland to avoid the consequences of their previous crimes it is only a matter of time before they are arrested and brought before the extradition court in Northern Ireland."

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Man Released On Bail Over Lurgan Murder
A man arrested in connection with a murder in Lurgan on Sunday, 06 August, has been released on bail pending further enquiries. The body of a man, aged 45, was discovered at a flat on Victoria Street. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Charged Over Murder Of Anne O'Neill
A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Anne ONeill. The 51-year-old victim died from her injuries following an incident at a house in the Ardmore Avenue area in Finaghy on Saturday, 21 October. The suspect is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 25 October.
