Two Men Arrested In L'Derry In INLA Criminality Probe

Two men, aged 28 and 63, have been arrested by detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch following two search operations in L'Derry.

The searches, on Sunday 10 August, were part of an ongoing investigation into INLA criminality, including the criminal use of firearms.

The two men were arrested under the Terrorism Act and taken to the Musgrave Serious Crime Suite for questioning.

A number of items have been seized by police and enquiries are ongoing.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.

Two Men Arrested In Strabane Search Operation
The PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit have arrested two men following searches in Strabane this morning, Friday 4th November. Across the locations searched, a quantity of suspected counterfeit goods have been seized along with various electronics. The men, aged 42 and 28, have been taken to Omagh Police Station for interview.

Two Men Arrested Over Peggy O'Hara Funeral Released
Two men arrested in connection with dissident republican activity in relation to a number of offences at the wake and funeral of Peggy O'Hara in July have been released. The men, aged 53 and 34, were detained in Strabane on Tuesday by detectives from the Serious Crime Branch.
