Ethna McNamee, Western Regional Manager at Invest NI, said the Mid Ulster area is home to a "strong business base of SMEs" who are investing in projects to increase production capacity and reach new export markets. She added that the significant investment by local businesses will "contribute to a resilient local economy and create more opportunities for local people."

The support from Invest NI has also been used for 67 green initiatives to boost energy efficiency and help 20 businesses begin exporting. One example is FCC Fabrications in Dungannon, which has grown its sales in the Republic of Ireland and Great Britain. Another is Topframe Engineering in Castledawson, which is investing almost £2 million in a new 30,000 sq ft factory, creating 21 new jobs.

Businesses in the area are invited to attend a Regional Business Advice Clinic at Cookstown Enterprise Centre on Wednesday, 20 August, from 10am-12pm to find out more about the support available.
