Students Urged To Use Careers Service For Exam Results Advice
Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald is urging students and parents to use the professional support available from her department's Careers Service as young people receive their BTEC, AS, and A level results.
Dr Archibald said that it is "vitally important" for young people to know that professional, impartial advice is available to help them with their next steps. She added: "Whatever your results, I want to reassure students and their parents or carers that the Careers Service is here to help."
Justin Kerr, Head of the Careers Service, encouraged students to speak with an adviser to help them make informed decisions about their future. "Young people and parents can find useful information on the Careers Service website at www.nidirect.gov.uk/campaigns/careers," he said.
For immediate support, students and parents can use the online webchat at www.nidirect.gov.uk/services/chat-careers-service or call 0300 200 7820. The webchat and telephone support are available Monday to Friday from 9.30am to 4.30pm.

Police are treating a fire at a 5G mast in the Annadale Embankment area of south Belfast as arson. Officers, along with the Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service, attended the scene shortly after 10.15pm on Wednesday, 13 August, following a report that the mast was alight.
