Belfast to Barcelona route announced
New daily flights between Belfast and Barcelona have been announced today by one of Europe's leading low cost airlines.
Jet2.com will begin flights from Belfast International Airport on Friday 24th September after what it said was "overwhelming demand" for the service.
Philip Meeson, boss of Jet2.com, said: "I have to say I'm thrilled to be announcing this route here in Belfast this morning. Barcelona really is an amazing city, full of culture, great shopping, great food, tremendous architecture and a fantastic climate.
"We really have listened again to what our customers have asked for. Prague was one they wanted and, since this launch, the majority of their emails and questions to cabin crew and check-in staff have all been 'when are you flying to Barcelona?"
Jet2.com currently flies from Belfast International Airport to Leeds and Prague.
