Teenage shop assistant threatened at gunpoint
A teenage shop assistant has been threatened at gunpoint during a robbery in west Belfast.
The 16-year-old girl was working in a petrol station on Finaghy Road North when two men, one armed with a handgun and the other with a hammer, entered the station at around 10.15pm last night.
A gun was pointed the gun at the girl's face before both men made off with a sum of money and cigarettes.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them.
Elsewhere, an 11-year-old girl has died in a road traffic accident just hours before she was due to fly from Belfast on a family holiday.
The girl, who is understood to be from Buncrana in Co Donegal, was in a car with her mother, aunt, uncle and cousin when the accident occurred between Buncrana and Fahan at around 6am on Tuesday.
Her 12-year-old cousin is said to be in a serious condition while the rest of the occupants of the car were also injured.
No other car is believed to have been involved in the accident.

Baby girl dies in road traffic accident
A child has been killed in a road traffic accident in Enniskillen. The baby girl, from the Republic of Ireland, was in a car with her two brothers, her childminder and her childminder's daughter, when it collided with a fire engine. The incident happened at around 11.20 am on the Derrylin Road in the town.
