Community, voluntary and sports groups in Causeway Coast and Glens can now apply for grants of £1,000–£25,000 to support projects that help prevent violence against women and girls.

Open across the Borough, the Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Grant Programme will back initiatives that challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours, raise awareness, and foster a culture of respect and safety.

Applications should be submitted online via the Council's Grant Hub: https://dev.grants.ccgbcapps.com/. Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Dawn Huggins, said: "The projects supported through last year's programme made a real difference to communities across the Borough. By continuing to invest in local organisations, we can build on that success and work together to create safer communities for everyone."

Head of Community and Culture, Julie Welsh, is encouraging local organisations and sports clubs to attend upcoming information sessions to learn more about the opportunity.

Julie Welsh said: "Everyone has a role to play in ending violence against women and girls. We encourage organisations from across the Borough to come along, learn more about the programme and explore how they can help make a positive difference in their communities."
