First Shared Island Tourism Workshop Held In Derry-Londonderry
Around 50 overseas tour operators from eight markets met 110 tourism SMEs from Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal and the Causeway Coastal Route.
Tourism businesses from the Causeway Coastal Route and the northern stretch of the Wild Atlantic Way showcased the best of the region to international buyers at this week’s debut Shared Island tourism workshop in Derry-Londonderry.
The gathering, the first initiative of its kind under the Shared Island framework, set out to grow overseas visitor numbers sustainably by highlighting how the two iconic routes connect, encouraging longer stays and increasing tourism’s economic benefits.
