Police make appeal as snakes roam streets of Belfast
Police in Belfast have appealed to the public to be on the lookout for a number of exotic reptiles that are missing, presumed stolen from a shop in the city centre.
The missing reptiles, which disappeared between November 2nd and 3rd, are a Cook's Tree Boa constrictor, a Royal Python, a Californian King Snake, a Sunbeam Snake, and a Herman's Tortoise.
The snakes, which are described as being between three to five feet long, are thought to be worth a few hundred pounds each. Although not venomous they can bite and should only be approached by an experienced handler. They could also pose a risk to small household pets like mice and rabbits.
If any member of the public is offered one for sale, or knows anything about the break-in which happened at Hope Street, Belfast, contact 028 90650 222 and ask to be put through to the Burglary Squad at Musgrave Street.

Mounted police patrols return to Belfast streets
Mounted police patrols have today trotted back onto the streets of Belfast in a move to tackle crime in the city. The officers on horseback will patrol areas in Belfast, Castlereagh and Lisburn and will concentrate on tackling many different types of crime throughout these areas.

The Department for Infrastructure (DfI) has announced a series of measures aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in Belfast City Centre. A strategic oversight group, comprising the DfI, Belfast City Council, PSNI, and Translink, has been formed to identify and implement effective solutions to reduce peak-time delays.
