Birds attacked in Bangor's Ward park
Police are appealing for information after 30 captive birds were attacked in Co Down overnight.
A wire fence around a pen in Ward Park, Bangor, was cut and the flock of birds, which included one peacock and a clutch of bantam hens, were attacked with what police described as a "blunt instrument".
Anyone who has information about the attack is asked to contact detectives on 028 9145 4444 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.

Detectives have renewed an appeal for information following a deliberate arson attack at a vacant property in the Weaver's Grange area of Newtownards. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, 17 November, 2023. Police and firefighters were called to the scene at around 12:40am.
