Anti-bullying poster launched in Ballymena
An anti-bullying poster and pupil advice card has been launched in Ballymena on Thursday.
The poster and pupil advice card, which contains useful advice for pupils, are part of the ongoing Safe Transport Pilot Initiative in the Ballymena area.
Assistant Chief Inspector, Loretto Watson said it was just one of a number of anti-bullying initiatives being undertaken by the Department.
“The Department has already taken a number of important steps over the last three years to help prevent and address the problems of bullying,” Ms Watson. “The Department will continue to work closely with other groups, including the recently formed Northern Ireland Anti-Bullying Forum, to share, disseminate, develop and promote good practice anti-bullying strategies across Northern Ireland.”
The poster, which includes Childline’s telephone number, will be displayed in schools, buses, bus stations and public places throughout the North Eastern Education and Library Board area.
The pupil advice card will be distributed to all pupils in the North Eastern Education and Library Board.
