Major NI business delegation visits Asia
Directors and senior managers from six local companies are currently visiting South East Asia for the first time on an Invest NI trade mission.
They are among 24 companies taking part in the mission to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand which is being led by Mervyn McCall, a director of Antrim-based Mivan.
The companies are also being assisted with market research, advice about business procedures and lead generation by Invest NI’s Singapore-based trade adviser for South East Asia.
Mr McCall said: “Invest NI missions to South East Asia continue to be extremely popular with our companies because of the region’s buoyant and open economies and a growing demand for a wide range of products and services.
“Singapore, in particular, is an ideal springboard for companies wishing to explore neighbouring markets, especially Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.”
Visiting the region for the first time on a trade mission between 10-21 April are: Clinivet Nutrition, Antrim, a specialist in organic pet food; CWS, Armagh, a recycler of waste paper products; Glentronics, Newtownabbey, a manufacturer of an assistive hearing device; Harco Technology, Belfast, a financial software developer; Mallaghan, Dungannon, a manufacturer of airport ground handling equipment; Seinex Electronics, Belfast, a manufacturer of blood pressure monitoring devices; and Superseal International, Portadown, a developer of a product which eliminates vehicle tyre punctures.
