Three released in illegal dumping and laundering investigation
Three of the six people arrested in connection to a PSNI investigation into organised crime have been released.
Police confirmed that one received bail and another two had been released pending reports. It follows an intelligence-led investigation against a high level criminal gang which resulted in the arrests for offences relating to money laundering and illegal waste.
Eighteen searches have been conducted in the Fermanagh, North Antrim and Belfast areas, as well as Derbyshire in England.
A site inspection for illegal waste is still ongoing across the province with the assistance of scientists from Queen's University Belfast using specialist equipment designed to locate deeply buried waste.
A quantity of cash was also seized during the searches as well as illegal plant machinery and an illegal diesel laundering plant.
The PSNI confirmed that they are being aided in their investigation by police in Derbyshire, An Garda Síochána and the Environmental Heritage Service.
Over 150 officers, including detectives from the Crime Operations Department, uniformed officers and specialist search teams have been involved in the operation.

The Irish Republic is to pay around €20 million to repatriate waste which was illegally dumped across the border in Northern Ireland over the past decade. Daíl Environment Minister John Gormley announced that work is to begin on the removal and cross-border disposal of vast quantities of rubbish this month.

Record fine imposed for illegal landfill site
The highest fine ever imposed in Northern Ireland for an environmental offence has been levied against an illegal landfill site located in Co. Down. Fines totalling £22,000 have been imposed on Neil Rooney, the operator of an illegal landfill site at Ballytrustan Road in Downpatrick.

Two arrested over illegal fuel plant
HM revenue & Customs (HMRC) have closed down an illegal fuel laundering plant in County Down. The illegal operation, near Banbridge had the potential capacity to produce 115,000 litres of laundered fuel per week, with an estimated annual revenue loss of around £3.5m.

Man Dies After Bus Fall In Belfast
Detectives are investigating the death of an 80-year-old man who fell from a bus in Belfast. Police have said that they believe the man was travelling on a 2J Translink Metro bus service at around 11:15am on Friday, 08 November, when he suffered a fall as the bus travelled along Royal Avenue, near it's junction with North Street.

Pedestrian Dies Following Road Traffic Collision Ikn West Belfast
A female pedestrian in her 70s has tragically died following a road traffic collision in west Belfast on Saturday, 9th November. The incident occurred on Hannahstown Hill shortly after 6:50pm when two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle. Emergency services attended the scene, and the injured pedestrians were taken to hospital.
