Guests evacuated from hotel in petrol bomb attack
Over 150 guests had to be evacuated from a leading Belfast hotel on Wednesday morning following a petrol bomb attack.
Five devices are thought to have been thrown at the Days Hotel in the predominantly loyalist Sandy Row area of the city shortly before 4am.
Damage was caused to the front and side of the hotel, but no one was injured in the attack. The fire is believed to have been was confined to a basement wall cavity, however subsequent smoke did cause problems on the second, third, fourth and fifth floors.
Police said a motive had not yet been established, however the owner of the hotel, Lord Rana, said he did not believe loyalist paramilitaries were involved.

House Damaged In Petrol Bomb attack
A house in Larne has been damaged in a petrol bomb attack, according to police. It happened on Church Way at around 10.30pm on Wednesday. A man was in the house at the time but was unhurt. Minor damage was caused to the property and a window was smashed. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Bomb Explodes At L'Derry Hotel
A bomb has exploded after being left in the reception area of the Everglades Hotel in L'Derry. The hotel was evacuated after the device was reported at 23:15 on Thursday evening. It exploded a short time thereafter as Army bomb experts were working to diffuse it. No-one was injured, but the reception was extensively damaged.

Senior Loyalist Killed And Another Critical In South Belfast Attack
A senior loyalist has been killed and another man is in a critical condition in hospital after being attacked in south Belfast. The incident occurred in Kirkistown Walk in Belvoir on Wednesday night. It is believed Colin 'Bap' Lindsay, 47, was a well known member of the Ulster Defence Association (UDA).

OAPs injured in pipe-bomb attack
Three pensioners have been injured following a pipe-bomb attack at a house in Belfast last night. At around 8pm, two women and a man, all believed to be in their 70s, were in a house in Ambleside Street, off the Shankill Road, when the device was thrown through the living room window.

Bomb attack on house linked to loyalist feud
A man, woman and five children have escaped injury following a bomb attack at a house in east Belfast early this morning. The Ulster Volunteer Force are being blamed for the attack which occurred at the house in Glenlea Park, Knocknagoney, shortly after midnight.
