Workshop aims to promote entrepreneurship
The Northern Ireland Centre for Entrepreneurship (NICENT) and the Association of Northern Ireland Colleges (ANIC) have teamed up to host a unique one-day workshop to promote entrepreneurship in Northern Ireland.
The event, which takes place on Friday at the Dunadry Hotel, will focus on entrepreneurship education in higher and further education and explore how it impacts on the wider business community.
NICENT Director Pauric McGowan, said: “Recent government reports have highlighted the need to develop a more entrepreneurial culture in Northern Ireland and encourage a greater interest in new business venturing, particularly amongst young people.
“This workshop aims to address these key recommendations and will be crucial in helping to identify the challenges facing the higher and further education sectors in embedding entrepreneurship into the curriculum and in developing the appropriate strategies in response to those challenges.”
The event will bring together representatives from relevant stakeholders in higher and further education, government and the business community with the aim of producing “an informed manifesto for how entrepreneurship education might be developed”.
