Police make hammer attack appeal
Police are appealing for information following a hammer attack in Co Londonderry on Thursday morning.
The incident occurred at a house in Fairhill Park in Maghera at about 4.45am, when a man was attacked by two other men.
The assailants then escaped in the victim’s car, which was later found crashed a short distance away.
Two men who were arrested following the incident are currently helping officers with their inquiries.
Elsewhere, two teenagers have been shot in a paramilitary style attack in Newtownards.
The incident occurred in Stirling Avenue at around 9.40pm on Wednesday.

Police have linked a gun attack on a police station on Wednesday night with a hostage incident in Co Antrim. A van used in the shooting of Randalstown PSNI station on Wednesday evening is believed to have been the vehicle stolen earlier in the evening from a family who were held hostage by a gang of men at a house in Craigstown Road in the town.

Man shot five times in paramilitary-style attack
A 43-year-old man has been treated in hospital for gun shot wounds following a paramilitary-style attack in south Belfast early this morning. The incident occurred shortly before 3am at a house in Kimberly Street. A number of men forced their way into the house and shot their victim five times, twice in each leg and once in the arm.

Gun Attack In West Belfast
A gun attack in west Belfast has left a man in hospital. The man is being treated after he was shot in the leg in a house at Colinview Street. The incident occurred shortly before 8.30pm on Wednesday evening. Police say the victim's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police appeal following barman attack
Police are appealing for information after a barman was attacked in Londonderry on Monday. He incident occurred outside a bar on the Abercorn Road at about 11.30pm. It is believed that a confrontation took place between staff and a number of men.

Woman Injured In Stabbing Attack
A 35-year-old woman is in a critical but stable condition in hospital following a stabbing attack in west Belfast. The incident occurred at a property in the Woodside View area of Poleglass at around 6pm on Monday. A man and woman called to the house and there is believed to have been an altercation at the door.
