Man drowns in Fermanagh river, body found
The body of a man who went missing after being swept away in a Co Fermanagh river has been discovered.
The victim, who has not yet been named, was swept away at Drummoney Falls near Kesh after he went into the water to rescue his dog at about 6pm on Sunday.
Torrential rain resulted in the river becoming heavily swollen on Sunday which hampered rescue efforts, but the victim, who has not yet been named, was eventually found on Monday morning.
Meanwhile, parts of Northern Ireland were having to deal with the after effects of the torrential rain which hit the province overnight.
In Co Down residents in Newcastle were having to use sandbags to protect their houses after water reached the doorsteps of a number of homes.
In particular, homeowners in the Mourneview area of the town took the precaution of moving furniture upstairs as the high tide approached.
The Met Office said heavy rain is expected to continue throughout Northern Ireland on Monday but Tuesday should be much drier.

Work Underway For Free Hospital Parking In Northern Ireland
Work has begun at several hospital sites across Northern Ireland as part of the preparations for the introduction of free car parking in May 2026. Health and Social Care Trusts have been actively preparing for the implementation of a new traffic management system since the Hospital Parking Charges Act was passed in 2022.
