Police attacked with petrol bombs and paint
Police officers have come under attack with petrol bombs and paint in north Belfast on Monday.
Up to 100 people confronted officers as they attempted to make arrests after two devices were thrown at police in Henry Street near Carlisle Circus at about 7.30pm.
A short time later a petrol bomb was thrown at a Land Rover as police searched a playground at Victoria Parade near North Queen Street. Two petrol bombs and paint were recovered however no arrests were made.
Elsewhere, a man has been shot in the leg in Co Down overnight.
The 20-year-old was found in Ardgeehan Gardens, in Bangor, shortly after 10pm on Monday.
He had been shot once in the leg.

PSNI Confirms Flag Violence Arrests
The PSNI has confirmed a total of eight arrests were made as a result of disorder over the Belfast City Hall union flag issue. Three police officers were injured when missiles ranging from petrol bombs, paint bombs, fireworks and heavy masonry were thrown by loyalist protesters. PSNI vehicles were attacked with hatchets and sledge hammers.

Shot Fired At Police In Lurgan
A gunshot was fired and over 100 petrol bombs thrown at police cordons in Lurgan, Co Armagh. The incident occurred in the Lake Street area on Sunday night. A total of 25 paint bombs, bricks and other masonry were also thrown by a large crowd who gathered at around 9pm and remained until the early hours of the morning.

Petrol Bomb Attacks Target Fountain - Again
A fourth petrol bomb attack on a Londonderry interface has further heightened tensions in the area. The mainly Protestant Fountain estate in central Derry has seen several attacks which have this week led to warnings from both nationalist and unionist politicians that someone could be killed in a confrontation.

Petrol Bombs Thrown At House In Larne
Petrol bombs have been thrown at a house in Larne, County Antrim. Windows were smashed during the attack and the interior of the property on the Belfast Road was also damaged. No one was in the house at the time and a number of arrests have been made, according to the police. They are also appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Petrol Bombs Thrown At Police
A large number of petrol bombs have been thrown at police during a third night of disorder in L'Derry. A total of 24 petrol bombs and six paint bombs were thrown in the streets in the vicinity of the City Walls as trouble continues in the Bogside area.
