Police appeal following chinese restaurant robbery
Police in east Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a chinese restaurant on Wednesday.
Shortly before 12.30am two men, one of whom was armed with a hammer forced their way into the premises on the Beersbridge Road.
After threatening a member of staff both made off on foot towards Bloomfield Avenue with an undisclosed sum of money.
Both men are believed to be aged around 18 to 20 years. One was described as having an athletic build around 5’ 8" tall and wore a beige coloured hooded jacket. The other was of slim build around 5’ 10" tall and wore a blue coloured hooded top and a light coloured baseball cap.
Police investigating the incident would particularly like to hear from a group of people who were in the vicinity of the premises as the thieves ran off.

A man has been marched to a cash machine and ordered to withdraw money by two men armed with a large kitchen knife. Police are hunting the culprits after they robbed a house in south Belfast and threatened the occupants before stealing phones, cash and wallets. The incident occurred in the Stranmillis Park Area, shortly after 10.

Attempted Hijacking In North Belfast
A woman has escaped from an attempted hijacking in north Belfast. The incident happened in the Ligoniel Road area at around 9pm on Thursday. A female driver was stopped at traffic lights when one man stood in front of the car and another man tried to open the driver's door. The woman managed to get away by driving off.

Pharmacy robbed in Ballymena
Detectives in Ballymena are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a pharmacy in the Dunclug area of the town on Thursday evening. Shortly after 5.30pm, two masked men armed with knives entered the shop and threatened staff, before making off with a quantity of prescription drugs.
