Car and house attacked in Garvagh

Police in Garvagh, Co Londonderry, are appealing for information after a car and house were attacked in separate incidents at the weekend.

During the first incident, shortly after 1am on Saturday, a number of youths attacked a passing car with a missile in the War Memorial clock area of the town. The driver of the vehicle stopped for a short time before driving off.

A short time later extensive damage was caused to property in the Main Street and Bridge Street areas of the town. Kerbstones throughout the area were painted red, white and blue and a number of sectarian slogans were daubed on property.

Driver killed as car collides with lamppost
A 22-year-old man has been killed in a road traffic accident in Belfast. The accident occurred on the King's Road in Knock area shortly before midnight on Monday October 28. The man, who has not yet been named, died when his car struck a lamppost. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident.

Man and woman arrested following racial incident
A man and woman are helping police with enquiries following a suspected racist incident in Belfast. The incident is believed to have occurred in the Village area of south Belfast late on Wednesday evening after a man contacted police saying someone was kicking at his front door and shouting racist insults.

Man Shot In Knees And Ankle In West Belfast
A man is being treated in hospital after being shot in both knees and his right ankle after three masked men forced their way into his home on the Crocus Street area shortly after 9pm on Tuesday 07 March. Detectives investigating the attack have issued an appeal for information and witnesses.

Residents Evacuated In L'Derry After Gas Leak
A number of residents in L'Derry had to be evacuated from their homes after a gas leak was caused by an arson attack on a car. The leak was found in Dove Gardens in the Bogside area. Fire crews attended the scene and put out the car fire which then spread to a mid terrace house shortly after 5am on Tuesday, 25 July.
