Thirteen arrested in connection with GAA murder
Thirteen people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a GAA official in Co Londonderry.
One woman and eight men are being detained are being held under terrorism laws while one woman and three men are being held under proceeds of crime legislation. All are understood to be held in connection with the death of Sean Brown in 1997.
Police have also seized £100,000 worth of vehicles as well as guns, ammunition and money during searches in counties Armagh, Antrim and Tyrone.
Mr Brown, 61, was abducted by the LVF as he left his local GAA club on May 12th 1997. His body was later found with his burnt out car near Randalstown.
Detectives investigating Mr Brown's murder renewed an appeal for information about his death on BBC programme Crimewatch last month.
The programme featured by Church of Ireland Archbishop, Robin Eames and Noble Laureate poet Seamus Heaney, originally from Bellaghy and a friend of the Brown family.

Attempted Carjacking In West Belfast
Police are investigating an attempted carjacking in west Belfast on Tuesday, November 19th. At around 5:30pm, a man entered a parked car at Hillhead Court and attempted to steal it. A woman passenger was assaulted when she resisted the man's demands. The suspect, described as a man in his 20s wearing all black, fled the scene on foot.
