Railway line closed as suspect device investigated
A stretch of railway line in Co Armagh has been closed after a suspicious device was discovered on a track close to Lurgan.
The device was found by workmen on Monday close to Malone Bridge on the Lurgan side of Bells Bridge.
The line between Lisburn and Portadown is closed as army technical experts examine the scene
Police have advised people to avoid the area while the alert continues.

A number of roads remain closed across Northern Ireland following the damage caused by Storm Ali. The following roads are still closed, however the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is working to clear the obstructions along with its multiagency partners.

Live mortar removed from railway line
A live mortar and launching tube have been found close to a railway line near Lurgan in County Armagh. Army technical experts were called to the scene, close to the Cornakinnegar Road yesterday.

Terrorist Hide Uncovered In Co Armagh
A significant terrorist hide, containing bomb components and explosives, has been uncovered in Lurgan, Co Armagh. Police made the discovery in the Cornakinnegar Road area during an ongoing security alert which began on Thursday, 04 August. The railway line between Moira and Lurgan was closed on Friday following the find.

Derry Rail Line Closed After Body Discovered
There is continuing disruption on the railways today as the line remains closed between Londonderry and Coleraine after the shock discovery of a man's body near the track as it passes the picturesque Benone beach, (pictured), a few miles from Castlerock.
