Rival factions clash in Belfast
Rival factions have again clashed in north and east Belfast on Monday evening.
Petrol bombs and stones were thrown close to shops in Ardoyne in north Belfast when up to 100 youths, some as young as six, clashed.
In east Belfast, there was also a stand-off involving around 50 youths in the Short Strand area. There were no arrests and no injuries reported in either incident.
Monday's incidents are the second such disturbances in two days in east Belfast.
On Sunday, around 400 nationalists and loyalists clashed during several hours of rioting following the Rangers and Celtic game which was televised live on satellite.
One man was hurt and up to five shots where heard during those disturbances.
East Belfast DUP Councillor Robin Newton said there was a strong opinion among residents of the mainly protestant Cluan Place that the attack was sparked by Rangers' victory earlier in the day.
However, Sinn Féin representative for East Belfast Deborah Devenny said nationalist residents in Short Strand were “sickened and disgusted by a week of attacks on the area by loyalist thugs”.

A bus driver has been injured in another night of flag-related violence in Belfast. Translink ceased all metro services to and from east Belfast early yesterday evening, following reports that one of their staff had been attacked on the Newtownards Road at about 19:30.

East Belfast Shooting Condemned
A shooting in the Short Strand area of east Belfast has been condemned as a "despicable" act. Police said a man walking in the area was shot at around 7.45pm on Saturday 25 January. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The incident in a busy built up area sparked outrage in the local community.

Family Receive 'Death Threat' In East Belfast
A sympathy card with a bullet inside calling for payment of an outstanding debt has been left at a family home in the Short Strand area in east Belfast, according to Sinn Féin Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile. Councillor Ó Donnghaile condemned the people responsible for leaving the 'death threat' and said it was a clear case of mistaken identity.

East Belfast Leaders Call To End Violence
41 loyalist and community organisations in east Belfast have put their name to a leaflet calling for the end of street violence in relation to the union flag debate at Belfast City Hall. A leaflet campaign was launched in the area on Thursday and featured a direct appeal to end the violence.

A family have escaped injury after two pipe bombs were thrown into the Short Strand area of east Belfast overnight. The glass door of a house in the Bryson Court area of the nationalist enclave was damaged in the attack. Condemning the attack, Ulster Unionist MLA for east Belfast, Sir Reg Empey said: “This type of action is totally unacceptable.
