Three children splattered with paint during attack
Three children have suffered minor injuries following a paint bomb attack on a house in north Belfast on Wednesday.
The children – aged six, two and three-months - were all splattered with paint, as well as sustaining minor cuts, during the attack in Cliftondene Crescent shortly after 5.30pm.
A neighbouring house was also targeted in the attack by both a paint and petrol bomb, however the latter failed to go off.
Police recovered a number of unused paint bombs close to the scene which were take n away for further investigation.
Commenting on the attacks, Supt Gary White said: “Yet again it is the most innocent and vulnerable members of the community in North Belfast that have been affected by the actions of those intent on ensuring that interface violence continues.
"The community have a clear responsibility to help bring these attacks to an end. They know the individuals who are carrying out these attacks. I would ask them to bring that information to the police.
“We are doing all we can to work with local communities to help bring this violence to an end. I am now asking others to play their part.”

Police Officer Injured During Security Alert In L'Derry
A poliice officer has been injured during a security alert in L’Derry. A police vehicle was also damaged during the incident on the Aileach Road on Friday, 02 June. Petrol bombs, paint cans and pieces of masonry were thrown at officers as they responded to a security alert.

PSNI Confirms Flag Violence Arrests
The PSNI has confirmed a total of eight arrests were made as a result of disorder over the Belfast City Hall union flag issue. Three police officers were injured when missiles ranging from petrol bombs, paint bombs, fireworks and heavy masonry were thrown by loyalist protesters. PSNI vehicles were attacked with hatchets and sledge hammers.

Somme Mural Vandalised In Lurgan
Police are appealing for witnesses after a mural in Lurgan dedicated to the Battle of the Somme was vandalised. White paint was strewn over the Somme commemoration in the Avenue Road area. The damage was reported this morning, Monday 10 June. The Avenue Road Somme Society, which maintains the mural, said it will not be deterred by the attack.

Glenavy Paint Attack 'Hate Crime'
Police are treating a paint attack on a war memorial in Glenavy, County Antrim, as a hate crime. Police said the monument in Main Street was targeted on Sunday evening. The paint damage was discovered at about 08:15 on Monday and follows a spate of recent graffiti attacks in the Lisburn area.

Paint Attack On Belfast Islamic Centre
A bottle of paint has been thrown at the Belfast Islamic Centre in Wellington Park. The police said they were treating the attack as a hate crime. Two teenage boys were seen fleeing from the scene. No-one was injured, however the police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
