Enterprise Week ends with 'Go For It' show
Enterprise Week culminates this weekend with ‘Go for It – The Enterprise Show’, on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November at the King’s Hall, Belfast.
Invest Northern Ireland has been calling all those thinking of or currently involved in developing a new business to take part in the series of events arranged during the week.
“There is still a lot of work to be done to make Northern Ireland a truly entrepreneurial society. By encouraging people to overcome their fears, take a chance and start a business we will help support the growth of the private sector and the continued development of the economy,” said Leslie Morrison, Chief Executive of Invest NI.
Over 4,000 people are expected to attend the show which will include presentations from renowned speakers such as Watt Nicoll the ‘guru of personal reinvention’ and the directors of Omlet, who whilst still in their twenties, have created an innovative new company that is set to achieve a turnover of £2 million in only its second year of trading.
Championed by the Chancellor Gordon Brown, Enterprise Week is a UK-wide series of events specifically designed to inspire people to be more enterprising and start or improve their business.
A gala celebration organised by Invest NI in association with Ulster Bank was recently held at the Transport Museum, Cultra.
A day dedicated solely to promoting enterprise for young people is being held at the King’s Hall on Friday, November 18.
