Galway to gain 50 new jobs at Multis

At the recent opening of Multis Ltd's €9 million Headquarters in Galway, the creation of 50 new jobs was announced as part of the company's next phase of growth.

Minister for Enterprise, Trade & Employment Micheál Martin opened the new €9 million state of the art Headquarters and manufacturing facility at Multis Ltd, Parkmore West Business Park, Galway and also announced that 50 new jobs will be created in highly skilled areas such as engineering and customer service.

Minister Martin said: "Multis Ltd is a successful indigenous. The founders have extensive experience in the IT sector and understand the challenges faced by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM’s) dealing with returning, retiring and surplus assets and with the problems presented by the broker market. With support from Enterprise Ireland, they have developed a business model which is delivering significant value added and growth.

“The move to this new facility in Galway provides Multis with an excellent opportunity to grow the business and provide a cost effective solution to existing and new customers and facilitates the doubling of its business over the next three years. The expansion of the business will lead to an increase in the workforce from 75 employees to a 125.

“In addition to this plant in Galway, I am aware that Multis has a complementary manufacturing subsidiary in Neijmegen in the Netherlands and also an office in California in the United States which provides customer support services, including order management and stock positioning resources in the US.”

The new headquarters includes a manufacturing, marketing, and an R&D function.

In its next phase of development Multis plans to become a global solution provider and is working closely with Enterprise Ireland’s offices in the US and Asia.
