Police question man over West Belfast attack

A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an assault in the Lenadoon area of West Belfast.

The incident took place on January 28, and the victim was left with serious head injuries.

Police have appealed for anyone who may have information on the attack, to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Elsewhere, police in Portadown have charged a 32-year-old man with dangerous driving, dangerous driving causing death, and dangerous driving causing grievous bodily injury.

The charges relate to a fatal road traffic collision on Sunday January 22, in Annalong, and the accused is expected to appear in Banbridge Court on Thursday morning.

19-Year-Old Arrested Over Pedestrian Death
Police have arrested two men in connection with the death of a pedestrian in Belfast. It follows an incident on the Malone Road in south Belfast at about 02:00 on Wednesday morning in which an 18-year-old man died. He was involved in a collision with a white coloured Renault van close to Elm Village.

Second Man Arrested Over Liverpool Hit-And-Run
A second man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run in Liverpool in which Co Antrim man Matthew Bradley was killed. The 33-year-old man was detained on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in Bradford. He has been conditionally bailed to appear in court in December, according to Merseyside Police.

Woman Arrested Following Crash In Co Down
A 50-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following a crash in Co Down. A woman, in her 80s, was taken to hospital following the collision on the Scarva Road in Banbridge at around 11.30am on Saturday, 11 November. Her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
