Two men murdered in separate West Belfast attacks
A 21-year man has died, following an assault in West Belfast on Sunday evening.
The incident happened at a flat in the Oak Villa area, close to the Springfield Road, at around 7.15pm.
One man has been arrested in connection with the attack.
Police said that the man's death is being treating as murder.
On Friday, in nearby Whitecliff Parade in the Ballymurphy area, father of six, Gerard Devlin was fatally stabbed during a street fight at around 4pm.
Two others were treated in hospital for injuries sustained during the incident.
Throughout the weekend, the homes of Mr Devlin's neighbours in the Whitecliff area were petrol bombed, and trouble erupted in surrounding streets where two houses and a shop were badly damaged by fire.
Police do not believe that the two murders are linked, and have appealed for anyone with information on either incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000, or on the Crimestoppers number on 0800 555 111.

Man Hit On Head With Glass Bottle In Lisburn
Police have launched an investigation after a man was hit on the back of his head with a glass bottle in Lisburn. The incident happened in the Sloan and Young Street area at around 2.45am on Sunday, 16 October. The condition of the victim is unknown. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

A man has been shot in both legs in Co Armagh. A group of men forced their way into a house in the Meadowbank area of Craigavon and dragged the victim outside and shot him in both legs. The incident happened on Thursday night. The 26-year-old man has is being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
